Job Hunting

Well, I officially started my Job Hunt today. I have two weeks between terms and I will be spending time every day online sending out resumes. This is so much easier that having to mail them. I have registered on five different general job boards so far and am now going to focus on job boards specifically related to my field: marketing, public relations, technical writing, editing, etc. Wish me luck!
Paul and I just celebrated our 7 year wedding anniversary. It is amazing it has been so long and we still are madly in love with each other. We went to College Station for the day and played video games, skeet ball, and glow-in-the-dark miniature golf. It was fun. Then we actually saw a movie in the theater instead of on DVD at home. "Step-Brothers" with Will Farrell (sp?) was so funny! Then we ate at TGI Fridays for the first time. WOW! The honey pecan crusted Salmon was delicious!!!
Next weekend we are formally celebrating our anniversary in San Antonio. We will stay in a hotel (Motel 6) on Sat and Sun. Go to the Riverwalk on Saturday, go dancing Sat night, shop the Mercado on Sunday and go see Toby Keith and Montgomery Gentry in concert Sunday night! Paul won tickets to the concert from a local country radio station! I am so excited!

Busy Year!

Wow it's been over a year since I tried to start this blogging thing. So much has happened, just look at the picture of Jordan to see how much time has passed.

Riki is off to Texas A&M and is living in College Station now. Aaron will be a Junior at Lexington HS and is the star Cross Country runner on the Varsity team this year. Jason starts Middle School at Lexington MS, sharing a cafeteria and campus with Aaron. It is hard to believe our "baby" is so grown up. Paul's contracting business is going GREAT and we hope he will be able to quit his day job by the end of the year.

I am still working PT at the local paper, but as I will graduate next summer I have started looking for entry level jobs in Technical Writing. I should be able to double my income which will make it easier for Paul to quit working for someone else.

Fun with Baby!

Everyone loves Jordan. He is sweet-tempered, laughs all the time, and makes us laugh with the things he does.
Jordan loves the water: pool, bath, even the rain. If he is crying and we can't guess why, a walk outside to see the trees and the chickens and feel the breeze on his face makes him happy.
A very tender side comes out in all his uncles when they talk to or play with Jordan. It makes you want to give all of them a great big hug!
We are so blessed to have Jordan in our family.

Our first blog

OK, OK, you got me.
First my teenage children make me get on MySpace. then my brothers and their wives decide that blogspot is the place to be. Now, when I finally decide to jump on the Blogspot wagon, I find it has been changed to "Blogger" and is part of Google. I hope this blog connects me to my family members on blog spot.
Well, we will see.
